Serving families with dignity
MAP Foundation is a non-profit welfare organisation based in Karachi, Pakistan, and part of the MAP brand. We collect Zakat, Sadqa and general donations from people in Pakistan and overseas, and turn them into food, education, healthcare, care homes and emergency help for the people who need it most.
Our mission
To make sure that every family we reach can eat, see a doctor, keep their children in school and earn a living with dignity — and to do it so transparently that every donor can see where their money goes.
What we do
- Poverty Alleviation: Ration packs, cooked meals and basic needs for families who are struggling to get by.
- Education: School fees, books, uniforms and scholarships so that no child has to leave school because of money.
- Free Education System: Free schools run by the foundation, offering quality education to children who could not otherwise afford it.
- Self Empowerment: Skills training, small-business support and interest-free micro-finance so families can earn with dignity.
- Health: Free clinics, medicines and treatment support for people who cannot afford medical care.
- Orphan Home: A safe, loving home for orphaned children, with care, education and hope for the future.
- Old Age Home: Shelter, care and companionship for elderly people who have no one to look after them.
- Ambulance Service: Emergency transport to hospital for people who need urgent medical help.
How we work
- At least 90% to programmes. Admin costs are capped at 10% of donations.
- Zakat kept separate. Zakat is held in its own fund and spent only on eligible recipients.
- A receipt for every donation. Every donor receives a receipt by email with a PDF copy.
- Published accounts. Our audited annual reports are published on the Transparency page.
MAP Foundation and MAP Pay
Our Self Empowerment programme offers interest-free micro-finance through MAP Pay. MAP Foundation and MAP Pay are separate legal entities: donations to MAP Foundation are never held in a MAP Pay wallet, and the two organisations do not share donor data or accounts.
