Missing

Missing is a powerful study of the range of emotions which accompany loss. Each of the giant canvases, painted in the artist's distinctive style, take an uncompromising approach to a subject which the western world often finds hard to confront. The colours are predominantly deep blue, silver and black. Many of the images are almost unbearably poignant and each demonstrate human vulnerability in the face of loss.

First seen at London's Knapp Gallery, Regents College, Regents Park, in 2005, the exhibition was shown again in memory of Michele two years later in October 2007. It was Michele's last completed exhibition.

Michele believed that by using the arts to express our feelings about living with life-threatening illness and facing death and its impact, we can more deeply understand these emotions and so help each other.
